“Hello! We are passionate explorers of our home mountains, the Canadian Rockies to the East and the Purcell range to the West. We consider ourselves lucky to live near these wild alpine environments where the views dominate and the adventure options are never-ending. More often than not you’ll find us out and about navigating technical alpine ridges, cruising rolling single track or dropping in on a sweet scree slope line, usually with a border collie or two in tow. Whether it’s a full alpine adventure or a half-day run on one of our local favourites, we’d love to use our knowledge and expertise to show you around our backyard. “

Emily Compton grew up on the goat trails of the Cabinet Mountains, exploring some of the forgotten corners of Western Montana. To her, life is just more fun in a pair of running shoes. That fun has taken her running and racing in Canada, Chile, Argentina, the UK, Ireland, Greece, the Alps and across the US. Now residing in the Columbia Valley, you can find her adventuring with friends, new and old.

James Madden has spent the majority of his life playing in the mountains.  He is passionate about exploring the wilderness and having a great time while doing so.  Having grown up skiing and climbing, it was a natural progression to become a fully certified Mountain Guide. Baffin Island, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina are but a few places he has hung his hat.  Now he is bridging the gap between Mountain Running and Mountaineering.
