“Hello! We are both very passionate about dogs, Nanaimo bars, baggin peaks, bombin steeps and exploring our home mountains, the Canadian Rockies to the East and Purcell range to the West. Maybe not in that order, but did we mention we love dogs? We are lucky to live in one of the most pristine and wild of alpine environments where the views dominate your focus in all directions. Options here are never ending. From navigating technical alpine ridges, cruising on rolling single track or dropping in on a sweet scree slope line, we’re never bored. Whether it’s a full alpine adventure or half day run on one of our local favorites, we’d love to use our knowledge and expertise to show you around our backyard. “

Emily Compton grew up on the goat trails of the Cabinet Mountains, exploring some of the forgotten corners of Western Montana. To her, life is just more fun in a pair of running shoes. That fun has taken her running and racing in Canada, Chile, Argentina, the UK, Ireland, Greece, the Alps and across the US. She now resides in Edgewater, BC where exploring her Rockies and Purcell backyard with friends, new and old, provides fun on a daily basis.

James Madden has wasted the majority of his life playing in the mountains.  He is passionate about exploring the wilderness and having a great time while doing so.  Having grown up skiing and climbing, it was a natural progression to become a fully certified Mountain Guide. Baffin Island, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina are but a few places he has hung his hat.  Now he is bridging the gap between Mountain Running and Mountaineering. James also sits on the ACMG board of directors and actively participates in the progression of the guiding industry.
